Our Story
Happifeet Podiatry was built on a simple belief: when your feet feel good, life feels lighter. For our director Tram, that belief began long before she ever stepped into a podiatry clinic.
Growing up in a single-parent household in housing commission, money was tight and new shoes were a luxury. When Tram’s school shoes finally fell apart, there was no spare money to replace them for weeks.
Her auntie lent her a pair that were two sizes too small. After walking the 1km from Indooroopilly train station to Indooroopilly State High each day, her feet throbbed with pain. Her uncle then offered a pair of men’s dress shoes — far too big, but at least they didn’t hurt.
Eventually her mum was able to give her money for new shoes, and Tram visited a discount warehouse called The Shoe Rack in Sumner Park.
Stepping inside felt like entering shoe heaven.
She chose her new pair carefully. The next day at school assembly she couldn’t stop smiling as she looked down at them.
That feeling — comfort, dignity and joy — never left her.
And it’s the same feeling she hopes every patient experiences when they walk out of Happifeet.
From One Pair of Shoes to a Community Clinic
Today, that same girl leads Happifeet Podiatry in Middle Park, helping families across Brisbane’s western suburbs stay active, comfortable and confident.
For more than 22 years, Happifeet has supported thousands of local patients — from children getting their first school shoes to adults managing injuries, pain, or long hours on their feet.
What makes Happifeet unique is its clinic + footwear store approach.
Rather than simply diagnosing foot problems, the team can immediately recommend and professionally fit the right footwear or orthotics to support long-term comfort and recovery.
And for many patients, it’s a relief to finally feel heard, understood, and properly supported.
Many of our patients come to us after trying other treatments that didn’t solve the real cause of their foot pain.

Kids spend more than 1,000 hours each year in their school shoes — often closer to 1,200 when travel time is included.
No child should experience pain, embarrassment or limitation simply because their shoes don’t fit properly.
That’s why Happifeet offers free kids’ foot checks, helping families catch potential issues early and making sure children have the right support as their feet grow and develop.

With over 22 years of private practice experience, Tram has extensive expertise in ingrown toenail management, orthotic therapy and footwear‑related biomechanics. She is committed to helping patients move comfortably and confidently through all stages of life.
Whether she’s relieving an ingrown toenail or hand‑crafting an orthotic, Tram
approaches every patient with care, precision and a genuine desire to improve their daily life. Her love of podiatry blends naturally with her passion for footwear, creating a unique approach that helps patients walk with ease and comfort.
At home, Tram finds joy in sewing and in the creative energy of her two sons, who both have an artistic flair for drawing and digital art. She married her high‑school sweetheart, whose support has been a constant source of strength. When she needs to recharge, she escapes to the quiet beaches of the Sunshine Coast and enjoys collecting antique ornaments and pottery from local op shops.
Ben Kurschert
Senior Podiatrist
Ben provides comprehensive care across general podiatry, sports injuries, ingrown toenail procedures, biomechanical assessments and footwear guidance. He is known for his clear communication and collaborative approach to treatment planning.
His early work with elite cricket players strengthened his understanding of sport‑specific demands, footwear modification and how small changes can transform performance. This experience shaped his thoughtful, problem‑solving approach — one he now brings to every patient, whether they’re managing a stubborn injury or simply wanting to walk more comfortably.
Ben also has specialised experience with custom AFOs, 3D‑printed ankle braces and custom footwear design using 3D laser scanning technology.
Outside the clinic, Ben enjoys visiting local cafés with his wife Lily for good coffee and fitting in the occasional round of golf.
Ben is currently on extended leave and due to return to Brisbane in late 2026.
Grace Halls
Senior Administrator
Grace plays a key role in keeping Happifeet running smoothly behind the scenes. With a Certificate II in Future Skills and Knowledge, Certificate II in Business, and Diploma of Business, combined with a natural eye for detail, she ensures the website and online store operate seamlessly while supporting the day-to-day functions of the clinic. Her
focus is on maintaining efficiency, organisation, and a patient experience that reflects the values Happifeet upholds.
Outside of work, Outside of work, Grace enjoys exploring the world of beauty products, relaxing beach days, and spending time with family and friends. Many locals know her from her years at Yim Thai — an experience that strengthened her commitment to providing warm, genuine customer service.
Linda Twidale
Senior Receptionist
Linda has spent most of her life in Middle Park, and she brings that strong sense of community into every interaction. She loves getting to know patients, hearing their stories and helping them feel at ease from the moment they walk through the door.
When she’s not at the clinic, Linda enjoys family adventures, holidays and running her Norwex business, where she promotes chemical‑free cleaning solutions.

Kim is in the final stretch of her podiatry degree, and her time at Happifeet has shown her just how meaningful this profession can be. She has assisted with procedures, supported patients and discovered the joy of seeing someone walk out feeling better than when they arrived.

Caitlyn is a senior high‑school student exploring a future career in healthcare. Her interests in dance and sport have sparked her curiosity about foot and lower‑limb health, and she enjoys learning from the team at Happifeet to see the difference podiatry can make in people’s lives. After retiring from a 30‑year career in accounts, Devinder joined Happifeet seeking
renewed purpose and connection. She realised she missed the rhythm of teamwork and the satisfaction of helping others. She loves the warm, inclusive environment and the opportunity to connect with patients and colleagues alike. Her happiest moments are spent with her large extended family, spread across Brisbane and Adelaide.
